Dayanand Shilpa Vidyalaya at Gurukul Indraprastha, Faridabad.

(Boys skills center)

Bandhua Mukti Morcha had drawn some times in the past a pragmatic plan to provide transitory rehabilitation to ex-bonded child labour and child labour by imparting training in skill formation in various trades and basic education to them so as to equip them to set up their own ventures and be in a better position to lead a dignified human life. Further, it could serve as a role model for state Governments to set up similar centers for rehabilitation of ex-bonded child labour and child labour. Such a provision demanded setting up of a suitable infrastructure, logistic supports and recurring expenses. This facilitated implementation of the longstanding requirement of BMM. Banhua Mukti Morcha acquired a part of the Gurukul Complex at Faridabad and set up a training centre named 'Dayanand Shilpa Vidyalaya' being funded by ILO-IPEC.

Three batches of 40 trainees each has passed out and the fourth one is getting training in Carpentry, Tailoring & Electrician. Nearly 100 of the 120 passed so far are self employed and transformed.
