PATNA: Holding that the Indian forces did not provoke the recent skirmishes at the India-Pak border, social activist Swami Agnivesh, however, asserted on Sunday that the bilateral dialogue between the two countries must not stop. He accused the Pakistani forces of frequently disobeying the democratically elected government there and requested the Indian government to use diplomacy to expose them at the global level.
Describing Pakistan as anarchic, Agnivesh said the terrorist outfits drew maximum benefit from the gunbattle between the Indian and Pakistani forces. He said the 'a bullet for bullet' concept will do no good but aggravate the situation. He requested PM Narendra Modi to talk to his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif on the hotline and de-escalate the border tension that prevails between 'the two nuclear powers'.
Agnivesh dared CM Jitan Ram Manjhi to prohibit the surrogate advertisements of liquor companies whose hoardings have mushroomed in Patna.
